    Back Home

Made it there at 9pm, couldnt stop coughing, got a stupid chest cough and i started to get a fever as i was playing. I decided to play 2/3NL instead as i wasnt feeling to well, got up to a rocky start with this guy flushing me for $50. He never folded, always called every raise and bet. SOmeone should of told him its an option not a demand. Anyway had some nice pots, KdQd, flops the nut flush, guy checks i check, he bets, i raise $200 pot won by me, flush vs set of A's. Other big hand i had KQ again full house vs K5, just unlucky for him. Had half my tofu curry dinner and went home half dead, manage to pull in $550 today, nice little starter for both days. Will take a break to recover hopefully its not swine flu :(

    2/5 NL Starts

Been sitting at home most of this year pretty much doing nothing in a bit of a slump. So i decieded have a shave put on a suit and go play some higher limit 2/5 NL at the vegas room for the first time. It was a bit scary at first cause these guys raise pretty much anything, but I soon got into the swing of things. Played twice once on the tuesday where i put in $200 and played for 4 hours, got as high as $600 then end of the nite i left with $220 :( Was a sick hand i flopped the nut straight with JdKd, with the nut flush draw, AdTd5h my hand is already made, so im only betting into it lightly. ANyway river card was a jackh meaning he could have caught up for a spilt, he bets $200 big bet i call. OMG hit a backdoor flush on me with 2-4h.

Well that behind me i thought ill try again on friday nite, had a super crash table, 2 tight players, 1 drunk and 1 super LAG from europe. Best hand of the nite was me calling that LAQ for $100 on the river with only J high, i put him on a small straight draw and i was right. Overall the nite started bad with me losing $150 but i slowly stayed to my game and finished the night with $1050. So i pretty much put away my starting money in my wallet and kept the profit in chips as my bankroll. Hope to save enough to play in the AAPT in Manila or hit the Korean poker clubs.

Anyway now its 7.44pm here Saturday nite, nothing else to do again so having a shower, put on my suit and hit the 2/5nl table again and see how i go. will report tomorrow on the progess.

    Grinding my $1

Life sucks when you keep losing your 93% hands. Anyway im resorted to grinding my $1 left sad but true. here are the last 2 days of grinding.

    15/5 0.05/0.10 limit in $1.05 out $2.42 duration: 0:23
    16/5 0.02/0.04 limit in $1.00 out $1.40 duration: 2:47
    16/5 0.02/0.04limit in $1.00 out $1.80 duration: 2:43
    16/5 0.10/0.20limit in $3.54 out $2.67 duration: 1:59
    16/5 0.10/0.20limit in $1.00 out $1.80 duration: 2:43

Oh played the melb stat. with in with a game plan, who knows what happened to the game plan as i was taking on raises and playing hands. To my credit i did take out concales not to sure of thats how u spell his name but he did final table the aussie millions. either way i got donk out my AT vs this chinese guy 9t. another 97% i lost. sick thing is he called 80% of his stack with those cards, crazy.

anyway today is event 1, feeling ok. hope my hands play up and i play well. wish me luck

    Downhill shaft increasing

Lately ive found that the double up has been very unstable. ive been making the right moves and places, but keep losing my coin flips and most impoartant my 70% that i should be winning easy.

worse one was a $20 sng last 4 players, 3 chip leader, QQ, i raise all in, KT suited called me, flops QJ5
sweet a set. turn blank, river A to give him  a straight. wtf. these europeans have to be the worse players in hisotry no wonder they never win shit. im taking 2-3 weeks off from sng's. im currently running deep in 2 tournamts $20 double stack and the $10 freeze, so will see how i go there.

    fingers crossed.

    $10 to$10,000 task

everyone is doing something so i decieded since im not playing alot of poker this year im going to grind out some easy sng's.
    task make $10.00 into $10,000 .

At the moment ive choosen to play at william hill at ipoker network
but also looking at 770 poker which is also the same network, just looking to see which has a better vip program.

The SNG's i will be playing will be double up 6 handed. starting out at $5, and moving to $10 sng's. Ive tried a few smaller levels but the variation is to big. $10 seems to be the right fit at this time.

You can all track be at sharkscope.
    ausbeagle at ipoker network.

Will play around 5-7 tables if traffice permits, and for only 1 hr at a time with a 1-2 hr break. max 3 sessions a day 4 days a week. to start with and will see how that goes.

since im taking a break this week i decieded to play APL , yeah i know its stupid, but i thought if i can get enough points i can at least make a effort for the state finals. ends up i started to late but will keep going anyway. made it to the final table, few good players there, played pretty tight and passive. final table more loose and all in. cant remember how many ppl i think there was 80 will have to check the site later. But with a good run i manage to come 4th, which i think isnt bad for the 1st time for awhile. will keep everyone posted on what im doing and how im doing.

PS> SNG up to $280 profit only played for 1 week so far.

    NPL Red Back 1st 14/03/2007

With a 2nd place i was hungry for a win, i felt i could do it. So i booked myself into the Red Back hotel in noth melbourne.
Carrie played as well for the first time, very scared and did ok, tho was knocked out by the blinds after the 2nd break. Better luck next time :P
As for me i manage to make it all the way to the final table again. Only had one real scare when i nearly lost all my money against a full house, lucky i folded near the end left me $20,000.  Was a good heads up match, but i love playing heads up, bluffing and reading the other person comes into factor more then the odds of the cards.
I went all in with 9-2 and he went all in with A-J
the flop was 2,6-3  good flop for me thats why i went over the top of him, he raised and i said all in, bang turn and river nothing i won. Kinda justic for losing last nite with the shitty 2.

Well last week i got a bottle of red, keychain, bottle opener for my effort haha , this week just a six pack of heiken or watever beer, dont ever drink geez. Tho i can say they make a great meal at this pub. So try it out.

First Sit and Go Tournament Poker Pro Crown - Melbourne

Was playing poker pro and one of the host asked if anyone wanted to play, stupidly i put up my hand. First time in a tournament / table well its poker pro so wasnt to bad. Never seen so many folding in my life before, everyone played so tight. One important lesson i learnt, NEVER CALL. FOLD or RE RAISE, otherwise you will get spanked all the way back home.
I manage to make it to the end where i was head up against a guy called eddie, great guy, liked to talk trash to me since i was the new fish there. He had a good read on me he said, little does heknow i have no idea what im doing something so i dont really play according to the book. Sometimes thats a good thing sometimes not. I remember the last hand he had A-10 mixed, and i have K-10 hearts suited. he flopped a A on the flop and was celebrating, looking for his prize money, on the river i got my flush 10 high which got me 1st place.
I won $200 in prize money for a $50 investment, not great but good experince.

Jerome, if your reading this, your a great guy, thanks for inviting me to your game so you can steal my money. Seems to be calling me for high stakes game for some reason thanks!
Great game, very friendly buch of pinoy guys, mainly brothers, cousins and friends.  Most are experience players few just like me so i guess it was kinda even. i remember buying in for $200, made a few errors, calling out of place etc usual dumb newbie stuff, but i did quite well i guess, kinda held up with them and didnt make myself look too much of an idiot. I can only remember 2 bad beats but not the details :P
I did manage to walk out $150 up so wasnt a bad nite, oh and i sold a PC also. :)
