    NPL Red Back 1st 14/03/2007

With a 2nd place i was hungry for a win, i felt i could do it. So i booked myself into the Red Back hotel in noth melbourne.
Carrie played as well for the first time, very scared and did ok, tho was knocked out by the blinds after the 2nd break. Better luck next time :P
As for me i manage to make it all the way to the final table again. Only had one real scare when i nearly lost all my money against a full house, lucky i folded near the end left me $20,000.  Was a good heads up match, but i love playing heads up, bluffing and reading the other person comes into factor more then the odds of the cards.
I went all in with 9-2 and he went all in with A-J
the flop was 2,6-3  good flop for me thats why i went over the top of him, he raised and i said all in, bang turn and river nothing i won. Kinda justic for losing last nite with the shitty 2.

Well last week i got a bottle of red, keychain, bottle opener for my effort haha , this week just a six pack of heiken or watever beer, dont ever drink geez. Tho i can say they make a great meal at this pub. So try it out.

First Sit and Go Tournament Poker Pro Crown - Melbourne

Was playing poker pro and one of the host asked if anyone wanted to play, stupidly i put up my hand. First time in a tournament / table well its poker pro so wasnt to bad. Never seen so many folding in my life before, everyone played so tight. One important lesson i learnt, NEVER CALL. FOLD or RE RAISE, otherwise you will get spanked all the way back home.
I manage to make it to the end where i was head up against a guy called eddie, great guy, liked to talk trash to me since i was the new fish there. He had a good read on me he said, little does heknow i have no idea what im doing something so i dont really play according to the book. Sometimes thats a good thing sometimes not. I remember the last hand he had A-10 mixed, and i have K-10 hearts suited. he flopped a A on the flop and was celebrating, looking for his prize money, on the river i got my flush 10 high which got me 1st place.
I won $200 in prize money for a $50 investment, not great but good experince.

Jerome, if your reading this, your a great guy, thanks for inviting me to your game so you can steal my money. Seems to be calling me for high stakes game for some reason thanks!
Great game, very friendly buch of pinoy guys, mainly brothers, cousins and friends.  Most are experience players few just like me so i guess it was kinda even. i remember buying in for $200, made a few errors, calling out of place etc usual dumb newbie stuff, but i did quite well i guess, kinda held up with them and didnt make myself look too much of an idiot. I can only remember 2 bad beats but not the details :P
I did manage to walk out $150 up so wasnt a bad nite, oh and i sold a PC also. :)
